: New Client billing for Minute Clinic
: Kinlaw30 May 01, 2019, 12:23:50 AM
I need some assistance. I have a potential client that own a independent pharmacy and is starting new construction to start up a minute clinic inside the pharmacy sort of like CVS he states construction will be complete by the end of the summer. He mentioned that he would need someone to do the billing. He will be hiring a Nurse Practitioner.
Any suggestions on how what to charge this client? What would be some suggestions and steps I should take before him signing a contract...??

Thanks,

Well it is basically an urgent care.  What method do you use to charge your current clients?  Flat monthly fee?  Percentage?  Hourly rate?

You are going to have to make some estimations of how many patients you think they will be seeing based on the need for urgent care in that area and what their hours will be.  An urgent care is basically like billing a medical office.  You would charge the same as you would for a family practice or general practice.

If you come back with some more info (how you are currently charging and the need for urgent care, etc) we can try to help a bit more.
