Hello fellow billers and coders, I Am sure there are a small number of folks still using practice management and billing software that is not cloud-based similar to Medisoft. We are currently on Medisoft but not thrilled with it and looking for options. Would love to hear recommendations from those that have used or are using software!

We have been billing for over 20 years and are still using server based Lytec. Very happy with it overall. Have used cloud based as well. I personally do not prefer cloud based. I see pros and cons for both. I have been exposed to Medisoft and was not thrilled with it either. :)

Thanks for the feedback Michele, so, Lytec is another Mckesson product. I will have to do a product matrix to see what it does / doesn't do that Medisoft does :)
Your implementation of Lytec is full EMR or just Practice Management and revenue / coding / billing components?

Lytec is a Mckesson product. Not sure why but I don't care for Medisoft but I like Lytec. Both totally different. I have only the PM system, but I believe they have EMR. We use a reseller named Murray from SMG systems. Their contact info is at http://www.smgsystems.com/#!contact/c24vq I get nothing for referring you but tell him I sent you anyway! He may be extra nice to me. ;) Honestly they are great to work with so if you just have questions, give them a call.

It's not the best out there but it works great for us! Very user friendly in my opinion. Not sure why Medisoft is so bad! Same company! ???
