: CBD in Massage Therapy

Hello-I do billing for a Chiropractic office that also has Massage a therapy. The Dr would like to incorporate CBD oil/lotions into massages if patients are interested but wants to know if it’s possible to Bill for upgrading a massage with these. I don’t think you can but wanted to double check.

You can bill it as 99070 but I would be surprised if any insurance covers it.  There is no way to upgrade the massage code.  It is billed with units based on the minutes.  You can't add anything to it.
