: Billing for Home Health Aide Visits

I am needing to bill for a Home Health Aide visit (G0156..15min per unit), and so if the nurse visited for 1hr then i would bill 4 units....right? Which would also mean when I request for authorization I need to request in units? And would this also apply to Skilled Nursing code G0154?

You are correct in billing 4 units.  I am not familiar with obtaining the auth for this though.  I would think they would authorize the care, possibly stating the amount of time, but I'm not 100% sure.  I would ask when I did the auth to be safe.
