Good evening everyone, hope you're all doing well. I wanted to get some opinions after a discussion we had while testing a piece of equipment that needed a stable and adjustable power supply. We were considering replacing part of the setup, but one of the technicians suggested trying Variable Auto Transformers (https://magneticcontrol.com/product/variable-auto-transformers/) first so we could fine tune the voltage during testing without making permanent changes. It seemed like a practical approach, but I don't have much hands-on experience with them. For those who have used them in real projects or workshops, what situations have they been most useful for, and would you recommend them for regular use?
