: MEDI/MEDI- FILLING OUT CMS-1500 FORM

I have a possible new client whose patients are basically Medicare/Medi-cal (in California).I am unsure how to go about filling out the CMS-1500 form for this situation.  Does the Medicare info get filled out as primary ins. and the Medi-cal as second?  Or do I wait until we hear back from Medicare before sending in Medi-cal?  Also I've heard that Medi-cal needs forms filled out on paper only.  Is that true?

Hi,
   I have not billed to Medi-Cal Before.  Is that the California Medicaid?  If Medicare is prime, you definitely need to file with them first.  After you receive the eob you would file the Medi-Cal.  Our NY Medicaid requires special forms to be completed.  When they are 2ndary you indicate the primary payment right on the form and you do not attach a copy of the EOB.
