: Seller seems honest but should I still get a Mini checked?

I've been looking at a used Cooper for a couple of weeks and the seller is one of those guys who answers every question before you finish asking it, full service history in a folder, receipts for everything, even offered to let me take it to his own mechanic. My mate reckons that's a red flag and told me to Read more (https://prepurchasecarinspection.ae/brands/mini-cooper/) about what these inspections actually cover before I trust anyone, so I did, and now I'm stuck between thinking I'm being paranoid and thinking I'd be an idiot not to get it looked at properly. The car drives fine and I really want it, but I keep remembering a colleague who bought a Mini that seemed perfect and ended up replacing the clutch within three months. Has anyone been in this situation and gone with their gut instead of an inspection, or did you book one and find out the seller wasn't quite as honest as he seemed?
