: Medicaid Admn Coding

Would appreciate some help with admin coding for Medicaid vaccines. I find that Medicaid pays for 90471 for the first vaccine shot and later comes back denying the other code 90472 saying that there was no vaccine code billed. This happens with NJ Medicaid. Is this happening to any one out there? What would be the solution?

Thanks a lot for the response. I did check the Medicaid site, but could not find relevant information. Would you please let me know which page has info on admin coding for VFC vaccines?

Have you tried calling NJ Medicaid, it could have just been an error or do you have more claims like that? I would still call them for clarification.
