: Medicare/BC/BS Traditional in MI

Hello,

Does anyone bill from Michigan? I wanted to know if patient has Medicare as primary and Blue Cross Blue Shield Traditional secondary do both insurance pay? I'm getting denials from BC/BS Traditional that they don't cover medicare 20% which seems strange to me?

The secondary may have a deductible or co-pay that the patient has to meet before they kick in.  We're running into more and more of these.

Same here, I've started doing verifications on secondaries now so I can have my clients collect the right fees up front.
