BCBS of Texas
« on: August 09, 2019, 09:17:35 AM »
Good Morning All

I am in Texas.  The previous biller in our office has entered the below address in the Send Claims To This Address box.

BCBC
PO Box 600007
Los Angeles, CA 90060-0000

When I look further, the below address is listed too.

PO Box 660044
Dallas, TX 75266-0044

Why would there be two different addresses?  The Payer ID is correct so I'm able to send out the claims and they are getting paid.  I'm just wondering why two different addresses.  Shouldn't the TX one be listed in both areas?

TIA

Michele

BCBS providers are supposed to submit all claims to their local BCBS so if the provider is in TX, the TX address should be the one.  Many times billers are given incorrect information by either the patient or by BCBS to bill the patient's home plan directly.  So we find that other BCBS addresses get input into the PM system.  But the rule is that ALL BCBS claims should go to the provider's home plan.
