Hello!
I am a WI based biller, billing for mental health care providers. I've recently run into something I'm not at all familiar with and was hoping for some insight on this topic.
I have a provider (LPC/SAC) who participates in team meetings via conference calls or videoconferences for two of his clients, who are in group home settings. The meetings take place once per month, for each client. The provider has to block off time for these meetings that could otherwise be used for a counseling appointment, and I'm wondering if we are able to bill Medicaid for these.
Both meetings include representatives from multiple county agencies, that work on procedures to increase functioning in the community and at home. What the client is working on in therapy and how that translates into practical life are some of the things that are discussed. The individuals and entities that are participating in these meetings include support brokers, group home staff, and staff from other programs that the client is involved with.
If anyone is familiar with billing for this type of thing, for this provider type, I'd appreciate any guidance on this. Thanks so much!
