Medical coding- is it worth to get in?
« on: July 22, 2023, 07:47:28 PM »
Hello!

This is my first post and I want sure where this should go so I apologize of this is the wrong place.

I'm currently a medical biller in Washington state, i've been doing this for 8 years now. I'm
Interested in moving into medical coding, but I dont want to make a lateral move monetarily. The goal is to move upwards. I've attempted to verify what the average coder makes in Washington state but the numbers vary so much. It sems to be anywhere from an average of 30K a year all the way up to 60K a year depending on the site I check. Does anyone know what the actual average is in Washington state or know where to get accurate numbers?

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thank you!
