Your website is your personal signature that shows potential clients what they will receive from your company. What do you want them to know about you. What can you offer them. The time you spend designing your site can determine the signature on the contract. Its about presentation. When I go see a provider,he may be paying for my knowledge, but showing up in jeans n tee-shirt says what to him?? What does your website say about you???

If you go hummmmmmmmm??? Ask someone who's opinion you value to critique your website. A good friend of mines said they were glad that I changed my forum picture because it presented a more professional look for me. I never thought about it before, but there very well could be someone that joins this forum that see's my posts and heads to my website. Why not always look the way I want to be perceived. Although I changed it because I finally took a picture (I hate pics), I can agree with my girlfriend that changing it was a positive thing all around.

You make a very good point.  With that said, I jumped onto your website and unfortunately I found some errors.  Here is what I found.  On your home page I found this:  An experienced billing service will generates more revenue, lowers expenses,by freeing up staff, resources and office space for other uses.

It really should read something like this:  An experienced billing service will generate more revenue and lower expenses by freeing up staff, resources and office space for other uses.

Under Services, for Insurance Verification I found the following: We can for full service clients provide verification of insurance for all pre-scheduled visits.  I think it would flow better if it was: We can, for full service clients, provide verification of insurance for all pre-scheduled visits.  OR you could say: For full service clients, we provide verification, blah, blah.
Also, under Billing/Claims Submisstion there is a (.) period missing after a sentence, which is: Claims are submitted and tracked electronically for immediate follow up, resolution, and payment We appeal (the period should be after payment).

On FAQ page a (.) is missing at end of this: Constant evaluation accompanied by ongoing reports on the status of your accounts receivable. There is also an extra (.) at the end of sentence regarding fees.

Also, it seems for consistency all answers should either be immediately below the question asked or with a space, but not both.  It would look better if everything was the same.

There is also a (.) missing at the end of sentence on page "About Us".  It is at the end of the first paragraph ending with contract negotiations.  Also, there are a few spots where there is not a space after the (.) of a sentence.  May want to go through and put a space after the period so it is easier to read.

I hope you do not take offense by me pointing out these things because I totally agree that this could be the first impression of you and your company and you want to make a good first impression!

I apologize in advance if I overstepped my bounds by pointing these things out. ???

I also missed this; there is a (.) after the (?) of this sentence: The real question isn't why, but "Why not?".

Sorry, missed putting that in earlier post. :)

No, you are more than welcome to critique my page. The question you may ask yourself if you felt that you may have overstepped your bounds, then you could have emailed it to me, but otherwise than the grammatical errors, what did you think of the website??

** I actually did the same for a very good friend, and its so much easier to have someone look at your work, than yourself, so thanks again***

I don't care too much about a missing period however, but the syntax and grammar, I do

Well after I posted my message I thought maybe I should have emailed you.  As far as your website goes, I liked it.  It was short and to the point, which I think is better than so many out there that have just too much information.

[quote I don't care too much about a missing period however, but the syntax and grammar, I do [/quote]

Well it may seem like “nitpicking” when I mention a missing period here or an extra period there, but that is not what I am doing.  This is about professionalism, which you spoke about in your post and representing yourself as a professional.  If you don’t worry about a missing period then your potential clients could see that as lacking attention to detail, that you didn’t notice the errors, and if you didn’t notice those errors, what will you miss when working their claims.  They could very well decide not to even contact you for further information because you “didn’t care” or "didn't notice".

As I write this, it does sound like nitpicking but that is not my intention and it does sound preachy, again not my intention.   Your post was really good and made a good point, so when I saw some errors, I thought you should know about them and I would post this so it would allow others to gain more insight into what can be potential “turn offs” to potential clients.  Something as small and simple as a period could be a turn off to potential clients.  I have been to many websites with numerous errors, and normally I don't let them know of the errors, but one site there was so many errors that I couldn't even continue reading the site and had to email them with all the errors I found just on their home page (there was so many it was amazing that they were missed).  I received an email thanking me and asking if there was anything they could do for me.  I found that funny simply because I was interested in their service until I found so many errors, no way would I take them seriously.
