Michele,
when you also do patient statements, and you receive a EOB and a certain amount is not allowed what guidelines do you follow in charging the patient bal. or what to writeoff in this case?

We bill the patient the amount that the eob indicates is the patient responsibility. We adjust off any contractual amounts indicated. Some eobs are difficult to read, but they usually indicate the amount the patient can be billed.
