If you look across platforms and age groups, Discord keeps coming up everywhere. It started as a voice chat tool but grew into something much bigger. That said, the definition of a
popular gaming app really depends on what you mean by it. Steam is the most widely installed platform on PC by a huge margin. Discord leads for communication. Xbox and PlayStation apps dominate on console. Among younger audiences, things like Twitch and even TikTok have become part of the gaming routine too. But if I had to pick one that cuts across all of those, Discord is probably the one most gamers have regardless of what or where they play.
