Postoperative Management

I bill for an OB/GYN physician. She performed a hysterectomy on a pt and 5 days after the pt had the operation, she developed a pelvic abscess and was readmitted to the hospital. My doc saw her the days she was in the hospital. Can I bill for those visits or do they fall under the postoperative global period?
Thanks

If the pelvic abscess is unrelated to the hysterectomy you can bill for the visits using the 24 modifier.
