Meetings with clients

DavidZ:
When you do billing, do you meet and provide reporting to the client regarding claim status, monthly or bi-weekly, or both?
And if both do you charge extra for meeting 2 times a month?

Pay_My_Claims:
I personally don't meet with them unless requested-- They receive their reports monthly and it is included for Full Service clients.
I am meeting with a client next month to set up their office to improve the work flow process.

Michele:
We also meet with providers only when requested, or if we feel there are things that need discussing.  If a provider requests meetings that seem to be too frequent and nothing is being accomplished then we try to figure out why the provider feels the meetings are necessary.  Then we address that need and usually the meetings are not required.  I've never charged extra.

Yes, and if you are like me where the majority of your clients are out of state....that can be costly!!

PMRNC:
for my in state clients I meet once a month with both the doctor and the office staff, these monthly meetings are very productive and allow us to go over any problems we might have with everything from communication to filing. It also allows both myself and the office staff to communicate with the provider directly. For my out of state clients I set up quarterly meetings, only done two of these so far but they seem to be working out nicely. I pick up the costs of travel and I also take them to dinner or lunch when traveling. To me it's worth it due to all that we can get accomplished with those meetings.
