My Dr. is wanting to give him an answer on when he bills out with office and procedure does he he get paid more if he does the procedure on a different day. We do bill for example 99213 mod 25 dx 401.9
and a 17000 with dx 702.19. We get paid no problem. But he wants to know if he bills the 17000 on a different day will he be reimbursed more than when he bills it with the office vist.

Billing the 17000 for a different date of service should not result in a higher reimbursement. The date of service(s) billed should match the date(s) of service documented in the medical record.

Ditto with Patti, the only difference is that your E/M DOS would not contain the 25 mod.
