SNF Physician Billing
« on: January 19, 2011, 12:46:41 PM »
Hello everyone! First of all I want to thank everyone for all the great help I get!
I need some more help. Our SNF/sub acute facility is looking to increase revenue just like everone else.
What other physician codes do you guys bill for and get paid? 99306-99309 are our typical codes. Flu shots too. Anything else I am missing?
Thanks!
Chris

Are you referring to the professional services rendered in a SNF?  Are the physicians performing any services other than E&M?

Those would be the services such as blood draw-urninalysis-ear wax removal. Things that a physician would in an office. I&D-wound care-debridal. things like that.
Thanks!

Any services that are performed should be billed for.  Whether or not they are reimbursable will be determined based on the insurance plan.  Most allow many services that are billed in an office, but some will have limits based on what they may include in with the facility portion.
