Do you have a sample compliance manual?
I read the compliance piece and working on my compliance manual as we speak.

You really can't use a sample because it's something you have to not just devise, but follow and it's going to be different for everyone. You can take a look at the OIG's recommended third party compliance plan guidance but you will need to update quite a bit with it as it's from the late 90's. http://oig.hhs.gov/fraud/docs/complianceguidance/thirdparty.pdf
Basically this is your road map to compliance which you will reference when you need to, it should be with your policies and procedures as well.

We do have a compliance manual and P&Ps. As we are new to logging in to the provider's billing program, this has not come up before. We are updating the manuals.

I took the third party guidelines and a 5 in binder (loose leaf is best so you can easily make changes, amend, etc) and created my topics first with seperator tabs, I then made a check list using the OIG guidelines and took each topic and just attacked it that way so it was less overwhelming. For my P&P I pretty much kept a diary of things I did, questions that came up, etc and put it together, I thought of this as the office bible in case god forbid I were to drop dead tomorrow. If you hired new employee's this could be a good training tool for them as well down the road.

Linda I LOVE how your brain works! Why aren't you running a Fortune 500 company? Or better yet, training young people how to logically think problems through? So much common sense, honey you deserve a raise!!!
