does anyone know if a cpt code exists that will cover a LPC to travel to a patients home to do therapy?    Would I use say 90806 with pos as home?

You'll need to contact the carrier and find out how they want it billed and if it's covered. VERY rarely do I see it covered and usually it's a case management case where the patient is home bound, they will not cover a home visit unless it's medically necessary if they cover it all.You would def need an authorization any way so best to ask the carrier directly.

we have 2 patients this has come up with.   I have contacted the insurance carrier and of course they say that "we have never run into this question before".    I was just checking to see if anyone had an idea.   thanks

Really? I've never been told that, usually they just state unless there is an open case management for the reason the patient is "home bound" the answer is a resounding "no".
