--- Quote ---How do you do an analysis of a company?

This involves looking at reports such as the A/R, any problem claims, coding issues, patient receivables, managed care plans, etc. You want to have an idea of not only what you are in for with a client but how to set up your fees.  I also like to review the practice policies / procedures and managed care contracts.

Thank you very much, is this information in one of the books.

PMRNC:
Really the only course I've seen that is for starting a medical billing company is medicalbillingcourse.com   Most of the other courses are for medical billing. The books by Alice and Michelle however are great for the medical billing company. Much of what you will be doing outside of the billing such as analyzing practices will come from hands on experience and it's hard to put things like that into a book. Once you are ready to do billing you will know what to look at in analyzing a practice so you know what to charge.  Analyzing the practice also gives you the opportunity to problem solve their current problems.
