Authorized Representative
«

Hi - I'm trying to sign a new client up with my clearinghouse. My question: the paperwork asks for the Authorized Representative Signature. As her biller, am I considered an Authorized Rep? Or does she need to be the one to sign?
Thanks!

Your client will need to sign all paperwork since you will be filing for them. Your clearinghouse should provide your company with a Business Associates Agreement and you would have one with your client unless you are a covered entity.
