Do you have the EOB and Checks ,denials ,etc sent to you or the doctor ? When you first started what was the services you provided ? At what point did you start marketing . I just finished the legal things and now I 'm in the process of setting up the office should I was thinking of start marketing after I get the basic office items done .

Your contracts will be with each provider so whatever setup you include in your contract will stand. I have clients who scan and put in folders and I login and obtain them and then I have clients that fax. Of course both options have to be fully HIPAA compliant. In regards to services, it's a very highly competitive industry so the more services you provide the better. FULL practice management is in much more demand than single service such as claims only.  You should only start marketing when you are absolutely ready to accept and contract with a client. Make sure you have everything setup and ready to go including contracts, BAA Agreements, compliance plan, policies/procedures, pricing structure, etc.

If you are a billing company you do want to have a compliance plan, but it's also understood that it's much easier to do a compliance plan while actively working with a client or two, so the compliance plan is really a work in progress and tailored to each business. Yes YOU need to have contracts ready to go. Never work without one! It's also recommended to have Errors and Omissions insurance as well. Minimum coverage prices are much lower now than they were 10 years ago, actually it's affordable now. Your contract can be a general one and then you can tailor it to fit each potential client. If you get an attorney a lot of times the attorney will modify it for each contractual arrangement. There are also even pre-paid legal companies you can hire that are affordable and can help with contracts. The attorney does NOT NEED to be a healthcare attorney, a contract lawyer works.. it should also be your responsibility to know the laws in the state you reside in and research any states you will work in.

Regarding the contracts, BAA Agreements, compliance plan, policies/procedures, pricing structure, etc.,who could I hire to type all of this up for a reasonable price, because I'm really not good at that part of the spectrum?  Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.  :)
