Hi Everyone,
I am fairly new to DME billing, and I have a question regarding billing rentals to purchase. I have a rental item that's being rented for 3 months, but the patient want to now purchase the item (the insurance will allow this). How do I submit the claim for the purchase? Do I just use the NU modifier on the 4th month claim? Or do I need to notate it somehow on the claim form to indicate this was a previous rental?
