Hello everyone!
What should someone charge for providing training? The training is split into multiple areas, so I'm trying to figure out what I should charge for each individual area as they would not be the same.
Areas:
to
1. EHR trainings - how to navigate in an electronic health record
2. Information system/coding training - how to work within a particular information system to code records
3. ICD-10 training - coder training
4. ICD-10 training - provider
The 3 areas listed above will be the most common trainings being provided. As you can see, each training will be unique to the user. The rate will be a per hour rate, including my overhead costs (i.e. travel, etc.). I don't want to set my rates too high but I also want to make sure that I'm compensated. I will be traveling to different sites to provide the training, which could be a 3 hour drive from my location.
I'm in need of guidance soon as I'm in the process of adding the requests to a contract. Right now I've been doing consulting work and auditing, which the rate I charge to do those pieces are much higher than probably what I should charge for the training, or maybe not? Maybe I should stick with my consultant rate? HELP!!!!
