Chiro Billing
Michele:
Good advice. :)
I tried that once with an office manager. She was very hostile to put it mildly. I said, "You're the office manager, if you work with us and we turn this around and start bringing in some money, you're going to look good."
She put her finger in my face and said "I aint the one that's gonna look good, and I don't care anyway it's not my problem, it's his (Dr) money!"
Unusual situation, turned out she was robbing him blind. We doubled his money in the first month. She didn't do ANY followup, didn't read electronic reports, didn't bill ANY inpatient or nursing home visits. She still works for him, we don't (by choice).

OH I totally agree... I will NOT take a husband and wife team where one of the spouses is the Office Manager or the biller.. That to me is a recipe for disaster! JMO.. I stay far away from those.

Amen to that. I had a husband ready to sign for me to do his DME billing, wife said no. I said blessing in disguise!!
Michele:
In my case, both husband and wife were drs. Office manager was good friend of wife, husband hated her. Real bad combo! :-\
